Bunshop Closed-6 Weeks post Hysterectomy

Today I am officially 6 weeks post op Hysto. I had a DaVinci system hysterectomy taking my uterus, tubes, cervix, and one ovary. I was also scraped again of all my endo and two cyst off my right ovary. The Dr. left it so that hopefully I can milk it for hormones for a couple years to avoid medicated hormones. It wasn't really where I thought I would be at only 28 years old but after years of suffering and trying every other option out there for endometriosis treatment it is what I was left with. Although I already had been told I wasn't in the market to have more kids this just kind of made it final. Not helping that everyone around me has a baby or is having a baby..Insert slap in face here!

I had my post op yesterday hoping to be cleared but no such luck. My internal stitches are still there and I have two scars that have gone Keloid which is kinda crappy! Needless to say it wasn't a great deal. I am however Cancer free so there is something to be happy about.
As far as other recovery I am 99% pain free unless I do something I shouldn't have then I pay for it. Fatigue is massively kicking my ass though! This has been my hardest struggle I can't go go go which was my one and only speed! Hormones are all over the board, my poor family! I have cried over the stupidest things lately and my feelings are massively hurt over stupid stuff! What can ya do!
 Cry that's what!!

October 8th is my clear date and time to kick my rear back into shape...literally it's quite pancake looking at this point and NO ONE wants a pancake ass! 2 years ago when they boys went back to school is when I made the big decision to change my lifestyle. So again I am going for it, dear Lord I might even go get a gym membership ha ha scary I know! I have obvious watched what I was eating because I have a bad habit of eating the world while I am taking pain medication. I have had a few splurged, mostly in the way of alcohol! But I did have pizza hut on 2 occasions. I have slacked on my shake a day. Eating and me after surgery hasn't gone very well. I ate like a bird the first 2 weeks because everything made me sick to my stomach and the thought of throwing up terrified me! My appetite still isn't back to normal, but getting there. My eyes are still bigger than my stomach. I got a naked burrito at Qdoba yesterday and I think I will eat on it for a week!!
Stay tuned for updates, that is if I don't kill myself right out the door! I haven't measured and Bryan isn't home to do so today but I am sure I will get it at some point. I am not even going to attempt my BMI because the clicker will probably tell me my muscle mass is negative zero. For the first time in my life I am upset about being "skinny" especially as the other half of me just keeps on building muscle that I am losing! I think it's theft not all that working out he does! (My story and I am sticking to it) I am 118 lbs of flab! How great is that NOT! Currently I can walk.. up to but not exceeding 1 mile. No lifting/straining over 10 lbs and no pushing or pulling in that range either! I am trainer/gym shopping because I don't work well with my husband. God I love that man but we clash in the fitness department and I end up wanting to strangle him as my means of working out! I am also his wife so he lacks the positive reinforcement my fragile self needs! It's like saying do I look fat in these jeans..He has always had an honest response of well maybe you should change! Which I have always appreciated because I would hate to be the one people are pointing at in public for the worlds greatest muffin top! So email me/facebook me with your tips and tricks!!

This is before pic - through day 19

This is Day of Surgery to exactly 6 weeks

2012 Reflecting

Someone's opinion I greatly value said the best way to start the new year right is to recap the one before. The good and the bad to know where you are coming from and how to proceed without dragging back through the mistakes! Cause let's face it alot of us are repeat offenders!

So here is my top 10 good and bad moments of 2012 in no particular order!
The Bad:
1.Loss #1- I lost the one person who has always been by my side. Don't know how to get them back and frankly I am sick of trying.

2.Loss#2- My Brinkley..truly "mans best friend" I am so sorry I wasn't hear for you when you needed me most.

3.Loss#3-Old relationship- I just grew sick and tired of being the only person putting effort into friendships. If you can't pick up the phone and see what's going on in my life other than what you can read on my facebook page.. Then we arn't friends.. We are acquaintances.. and that's ok too!

4.We have had several situations where we thought we were being pushed to the brink this year.. Thank God through love-trust-loyalty- and maybe a little screaming we made it through!

5.Failure- sometimes no matter how you follow a system or plan ya just smack face first on the floor..

6.Loss#4-Words and Actions hurt..Even when you pick up the pieces and glue them back together the original work of art is just gone...But in some situations Mosaics are a beautiful thing!

7.Nothing I "planned" this year turned out as I hoped.. I should really try to become a roll with the punches girl it would really save some anxiety..

8.My kids grew another year older.. I really wish they would slow it down a little!

I could keep going but really everything else falls into one of the topics above..

The Good:
1.I earned a BMW- a level of accomplishment I pushed myself so hard for while the lil demon in my head is always saying I can't.

2.I made new friends- Yes that sounds a little silly but when your my age it's not real easy to move and get out and meet new people. I love my Okie's!!

3.I pushed myself to reach health goals I never imagined myself striving towards.

4.I learned that Karma does eventually get those who it intends to, and it's not near as gratifying as I thought it would be. Maybe this means I'm one step closer to being a grown up!

5.I stupidly checked a box to help out with the PTA, now it's my full time job lol but I get to be involved in my kids education on a whole new level so every second of the Chaos is worth it!

6.I saw Joan Jett and the Gin Blossoms in concert this year.. Be jealous people!

7. I learned helping others feel good about themselves is an addiction!!

8.I overcame one of my biggest vices: Be a people pleaser! There is a big ol difference between being respectful of others which my momma taught me to always be, and being a dang door mat. If ya don't like me that's ok! It took long enough to like myself so I am no longer concerned with what you might think!

9. My family is finally getting some little girls! All the dang boys and finally 2 possibly more little girls to all be here by the summer time. I am a little giddy if ya can't tell!

10.This may be the #1- I was pretty sure God had slammed the door on a dream of mine. I was pretty sure the cracks in my heart from things/people/relationships that he took away from me was a punishment of some kind. That maybe this was my Karma, and that is just the way it is. Then I realized those cracks just meant he was giving my heart a little more room to grow. And just cause what I had in mind for dream wasn't possible didn't mean he just didn't have a great plan in motion! I can't wait to see where HIS journey leads us!

and 1 to remember on.. Apologies come at the oddest times in life, rarely when you think you need them, maybe when the other person needs them! Maybe you do just have to walk a mile in someone's shoes to know how they feel. Every situation has 3 sides..your..theirs...and the truth! Feelings tend to mess up that last part!

Oh and the girls..not gonna lie I am pretty happy to have them...

Here's to a fabulous New Year! You can't rewrite the chapters of your life, but you do have 364 days to change the current one!

365 Days of the Vi-life!

Today I am celebrating my 1 year Vi-anniversary! I never in a million years thought it would be the journey that it has been. Matt Ward always says there are two times you get into Visalus. The first time is when you click that button that says join the challenge, and the second time is when it get's into you! I didn't understand that for a very long time, but I do now. I sat here and read back through everyone of my post over the last year! How hesitant I sounded in those first couple. A few I even sound a little beaten and angry ha ha! Which was probably true.
Changing your life is a LARGE journey and not everyone will understand what you are doing. Basically that is what it takes if you don't want this to be some "fad" thing you tried! You have to change! Your mindset is the BIGGEST thing you have to change and frankly the hardest to convince!
Some days people will hurt your feelings (ALOT) and some days you will get support from a stranger and it will completely make your day! So many times I get asked how did you do it, first I say dedication because will power isn't always there! Second- I had hit a point in my life where I knew I had to change it all no matter what the cost to make ME better. It didn't need to have anything to do with anyone else but me! Third- Support-Support-Support you need someone to lift you up and also someone who occasional will commiserate with you(briefly ha h a)!
For every set back you will have bigger strides forward! Just keep faith that you can do this! If you don't think you can... pick up the phone and call me and I will tell you.. YOU CAN!!! There are failures right along side every success story! It's ok to fail it's however not ok to QUIT!

So quick flashback to 1 yr ago..
I weighed 150 lbs
(that day I happened to weight 147.9 so by gosh I went with that for a starting weight, but lets be honest.. most days it was 150!)
My chest/waist/Hips were all 38 inches around! What a perfect blob I was!
I was squeezing into size 32/33 jeans which is like a 12/14 I believe!

My first Weight loss goal was 130. Then I thought well 127 was the lowest I had gotten taking diet pills so let's shoot for 125 and while I had been able to hit this before with aide it never really changed my size cause I just couldn't drop the inches like I wanted to. I blew that outta the water and hit 118 which is where I decided I didn't want to lose any more weight. This is also where I picked up working out! I have maintained a weight between 118-121 lbs since March. I also have gone down two jean sizes without losing any more weight! (yay for the flabby stomach going away)

Currently today: 119.8
Chest:32.75 :( lol inches
Waist: 26.75 inches
Hips:30.125 inches
Size ranges from 25-26 which is like a 2/4 I think!
(Can you believe that! I get excited every time I get to talk about that!)

I am not writing this to toot my own horn. Although I also know that it's ok to do so! I write this so hopefully you will read this and think "hey if that chunky chick can do it why can't I" Let me answer that again with YOU CAN! I have faith that whatever your journey may be a life change-health change or even a prosperity change that if you set reasonable goals and go public with them to both hold yourself accountable and get the support you need, there will be no obstacle that can hold you back. We can't always jump to avoid Obstacles sometimes they trip us, but always remember if you fall forward when you trip that once you dust yourself off, your two steps ahead!

90 days to Fit!

Here goes our first ever all in Fitness Challenge!
We have both chosen the amazing Body By Vi Fit Kit!

We (mostly I) have vowed to only weight on days 10/30/60/90.
And I am not listing the program we chose to use because we want to give ourselves time to form our own educated/practical opinion on it! Without anyone Else's influence! So I will reveal the program of choice after the 90 Days!

Not all Protein is created Equal

Check out what Andy Fidino says about the quality and quantity of our pure protein:
“Before I started my 90 day challenge I was taking 300g protein, had an amazing nutritional plan, working out like a BEAST and STILL wasn’t seeing any of the results I was looking for. Then I started my challenge. :) I had 800% faster results and I felt sooooo good! My whole body responded with strength and muscle gains! Even the muscle groups that I wasn’t working as hard had amazing results. :) I’ll always be on the 90 day challenge!!”
~Andy Fidino
Men's Physique Champion
Moral to the story: All proteins are NOT created equal!

Visalus took lots of time in creating our patent protein!Yes you can go to walmart or GNC and buy any protein shake off the shelf but...
The key is that not all proteins are created equal. If you read the nutritional labels, some will use gelatin to 'spike' the grams of protein, great for skin and hair, but not so good at building muscle. Some use milk powder or milk protein, great for bone health, but not so good at building lean muscle. Some use whey, which is ok, but only about 75-80% absorbed. So with ours, its quality, not quantity...and we absorb more because of our blend.

#3 Complete- Cheers to not being defined by a chart, a scale, or others!

April of 2011 my cousin proposed to his fiance' I set a goal right then that I was not going to attend another wedding in my family looking fluffy! I don't even like to look at my own wedding photo's because I was fluffy! So I struggled from April-July to loose 10 lbs! Gave up in July and that's when I went to get a Mommy Makeover consult. You can read back through my blogs to see that was tramatic enough to make me want to jump off a cliff! Which left me at the bottom of the barrel and facebook stalking Bryan's cousin Leigh and all this Body By Vi crap she is always posting about! Man if facebook stalking ever payed off this was it! So here it is the wedding is upon us and while I am not at the goal of what I want my body to look like I am completely SATISFIED with where I am at. Being comfortable in your own skin is a major accomplishment for an insecure person such as myself. I put off shopping for a dress to wear until the last minute and when I finally started trying on and got to the SMALL and it fit I was so excited I almost cried. A small... I don't even think I wore a small in highschool lol

So official challenge results.. I tried not to weigh but every once and a while. I will tell you it ranges from 118.2 to 120.8 throughout my whole challenge. I haven't measured at all since the end of my last challenge. I  get the transformation kit still but most days I only do one shake a day and 2 sensible meals and lots of snacks of course but I love all the other goodies that come with it! Also Bryan gets the Fit kit and I will admit at first the cookies and I were not friends but in March when they came out with the new ones I LOVE them. Especially the Oatmeal, pop that lil guy in the microwave for 17 seconds and heaven awaits! I work out 3-5 times a week. Mostly cardio and resistance training. I am a Body Rocker! I have several home workout programs and some list of my own I go by. So here it goes!!!

Weight: 119.4
Chest: 32.75 (Ahh geez really)
Waist: 27.25
Hips:31.25
Legs: 19 inches
Arms: 10.75
I AM OFFICIALLY UNDER 20% BODY FAT!
17.47%
BY THE CHART STANDARDS THAT'S AN ATHLETE! HA WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGH OF ME AS AN ATHLETE! I have always hated those charts because they always put me in a category I didn't want to be in! The dreaded Borderline state, which is almost worse than the actual above or below cause it screams hey idiot do something or else! So cheers to not being defined by a chart, or a scale for that matter!

I have no clue what my next challenge will be.. so comment or msg me with some ideas! I am ready to take it to the next level!

Challenge #3 update!

My third Body by Vi challenge I have labeled "Be the fit chick" as some of my haters have pointed out skinny isn't fit. YOUR RIGHT but I spent a lot of time in chunky unhealthy land so I am ok with skinny for now. Someday I will be that other girl who likes to workout and go for a jog. Today I still struggle with it, I workout 4 to 5 days a week. I use various home programs or the c25K program. I currently use a Core Kit somedays if I am in a hurry I still have two shakes. I had a really busy week where I got into a run of Shake for breakfast and eating nothing else until dinner. I felt HORRIBLE!! Then after I was naggin a teammate for the same reason I though geez take your own advice! So those days I am too busy to grab lunch I Shake It!

What a SIZE 3!!! LOVE THAT FEELING!

So we are a little over half way through this challenge. I have maintained my weight loss! In fact I have gone down a lil from my last end challenge. I also haven't measured purposely. I am doing my very best to not live by the scales! I know I went WAY beyond what I thought I could ever do so I don't need those scales to validate me anymore so I put them away! Occasionally though they do find their way out! So I can tell you that as of today I have maintained since the end of February a weight in range of 118-121. It's never the same lol that is why you shouldn't rely on your scales! We have completely changed out eating habits! Listen when I tell you this is a lifestyle change you couldn't come off any plan and eat pizza and beer and maintain a weight loss. We eat as "clean" as possible! Don't eat a lot of red meat more fish and chicken and pork and Oh my weakness sushi! I don't consume alcohol except for rare occasions, pop is a major no-no :) and I haven't kicked my sweet tea habit completely although I can drink smart water, it just taste better not bitter !

THE HATER NOTE:
A. Seriously if I wanted to photoshop my pictures they would love a heck of a lot better than what they do. It took some major gustos to be able to post my true bare all photos, and I couldn't even do that until I had lost 20 lbs. So for once have some tack and hold your damn tounge or finger in this case cause typing filth is about all it amounts to.

B. I've said it before I will say it again! There are 100's of programs out there. Whatever you do I am HAPPY for you! Way to go for taking your life seriously enough to make a change. No matter what road you take it isn't an easy one. We didn't get unhealthy over night and we aren't gonna get healthy overnight. There will be slip ups and you will have small failures it's OKAY!  All I can do is tell you about my journey and the journey's of my amazing Vi-family and help you out if you choose to join us. Even if you choose not to join us it isn't going to change the fact that I want to help you. Ask around my advice is free lol

C. If you want to insult me either through technology or face to face. It is going to change the way I look at you and probably won't have that much to do with me in the future. Body By Vi is not just a shake I drink, it is a community of very tightly nit SUPPORTIVE people and it reaches far beyond the stretches of your small town. So if you think that it is some "FAD" that I brought from the big city to the small town that will soon run it's course and be gone out of your life like yesterdays garbage..YOUR WRONG! and trust me any insulting of Body by Vi I do take as a direct insult to me. I also don't mean you saying it didn't work for you or you didn't like it, that's not an insult. If you tell me it just wasn't for you hey that's perfectly fine! It is however the fastest growing health and fitness company in NORTH AMERICA not just your neck of the woods! They average over 100,000 new customers a MONTH! Over 1000 promoters a month qualify for BMW's do you get it yet? It's way more than the $$ and cars but let's face it people it takes some HARD work to earn those cars so when I post pics on facebook it's not to brag or show how materialistic we are or rub it in your face. It's a pat on the back for all our blood sweat and tears. When was the last time you worked hard and loved what you do for a living and even after that your company rewarded you with a car allowance? "Celebrate your Victories" in whatever form they come in. If you lost 5 lbs don't think of it as just 5 lbs. People that is FIVE LBS  that is alot! If your struggling...pick up the phone and call me or anyone of our team members I am always here for support! Ask my poor husband I am on the phone 24/7!

Anyway at the end of the day it isn't a dang diet. It's a lifestyle choice you HAVE TO MAKE THE CHOICE. If you don't want it for yourself it's never going to work. I will push you to the ends of where you want to be, yet I can't drag you because then one of us would be looking backwards when we should both be pushing forward. No one can force you to make this choice. You have to find your "WHY"  If you don't get that...Why am I doing this?? For myself, for my kids, for my family, for extra cash, to dig myself out of the hole I am in...WHY!! It also goes without saying.. YOUR WHY SHOULD MAKE YOU CRY if you feel that passionately about something you won't have a problem following through with it! Mine constantly changes, it started out I wanted to be able to stand in front of a full length mirror and not be disgusted with myself. As I go along I add more why's! When I get close to marking one off the list I add more so I am never not reaching for the better in life!

It's really cliche but I am gonna close with "Rome wasn't built in a day" So keep Challenging yourself!

8 months of Visalus!

8 months ago today I started what I thought was gonna be some plan to appease my husband. I had no idea drinking that first shake was going to change my whole entire life. Open so many doors for me, help me find who I am and who I was meant to be. Improve some relationships, worsen others lol, give me life long friends across the country and a chance to be apart of a community that wants to set out and change the world! Matt always says there are two times you get involved in Visalus..1st was this day when I chose to set a goal and follow through with it. 2nd is the day this amazing company and it's mission get's into you! Most people don't get it and think I am over here blowing smoke.. but to the ones that do... TOLD U SO!!!

Bryan's Beach Ready in 90 Challenge

I would like to say I have a photo of him before he lost 30 lbs but sadly NO, he wouldn't let me take pics when he started his weightloss challenge! So this is his first challenge that didn't involve weightloss. He is currently in his 3rd challenge which we will finish right as summer starts! Wahoo so ready for boating season!!!

ps: He now wishes he would have had that before photo! Love it when I am right!

Another 90 Down!

Well the girl who never finishes anything has officially finished her 2nd 90 day challenge! I still LOVE my products. In fact I don't wanna ever go without! Being apart of the Visalus community has also taught me so much and helped me grow so much personally. Nothing is impossible..I have come so far and have not gotten to where I want to be but I do appreciate where I have come from!

So let get onto the results...

For those of you who haven't been following from the beginning.. July 19th I weighed 151 lbs at a Dr. apt weigh in, My start date of Body By Vi was Aug. 18th at 147.8 lbs. 38" in chest waist and hips and around 35% Body fat.(that calculator and I don't get along well so that's a guesstimate)

I finished my first 90 Day challenge the week of Thanksgiving, which was rough lol  and rolled straight into number 2 which ran through Christmas-My Birthday-New Years & the Superbowl. So by gosh if I can make it through that I can do anything right ha ha! I hit cardio 4 days a week minus the last 2 weeks due to being sick and having some other health issues. On top of that I have a 10 sets of 10 workout(v-sits-bur pees-bridge-push ups- and a few others that I don't know the technical name for lol) that follows with 60 jumping jacks..60 sit-ups..60 Crunches that I did 3-4 days a week. Still looking for something to kick me into high gear for my next 30. I keep kicking back and forth between ordering a home program or taking my butt to the gym.

So Final results for this 90 days...

Weight:120.8 lbs
Chest: 34 inches
Waist: 28 inches
Hips: 31.75 Inches
Leg:19
Arms:10.4 Inches
Around 23.27% Body Fat
Beginning Photo and 30 Days into 2nd Challenge Photo

IT FITS!!! Before there was not even Squeezing into this bad boy!

End of Challenge

This Challenge I also set some non-fitness goals, I wanted to make Regional Director by March 15th and earn my FREE BMW!
If I can do this..YOU can do this!

Now Onto Challenge #3 Starting March 1st.. Time to challenge myself beyond my wildest dreams and maybe even a few nightmares!!

Wishing all of you the best luck with your goals whatever they may be! There is no goal not worth giving it everything you have. I promise if you do, you will be a better person for it in the end. Even if you don't make it!

Have a VIBRANT day friends!

Half way to the Beach

I have gone back and forth and deleted this a 100 times. LITERALLY.
Yet here is the decision I have come to.
People will judge or poke fun or make a joke out of what I am about to post. BUT if one person sees this photo and thinks "If she can change, I can too" then it is worth it. I by no means think either of these photo's are where I need or want to be. They are however proof that hard work and support from positive piers can change your life. When I took the first photo I cried at the way I looked. I was discussed by it. I still am not satisfied by what I see in the second picture but I know I am on my way to be the me I want to be and IT IS POSSIBLE.  Blake tells us to throw our goals out there for the world to see. It helps us hold ourselves accountable and it really does. I know this is here for all the world to see so when I succeed I will have my I TOLD U SO moment to proudly post that anyone can change anything about their life that they don't like. It is all about making the choice, choosing the tools to get you there, having faith when set backs occur, and always moving forward whether it's a hop a leap or a bound.

To my team: Keep reaching for your goals..they are only unattainable if you LET them be. I support each and every one of you, because I believe you can do it.. you can tell the world I TOLD U SO!

Ditching the Junk-Resolution #1

Upon reaching my  27th birthday! Somewhere between a long conversation, great wine, and sex and the city reruns I am thinking my life is pretty amazing. God only knows how terrible my last two birthdays were. Spent being unhappy with either myself or my life and not knowing how to do anything about it.

How do you get from point A to point B?    GOALS

So I find help it letting my thoughts out.. Goal #1 put the positive in before the negative.
*1st.. What you put into your body really does matter..and not just food, information. Stop reading junk! Stop eating Junk! I find that my day runs so much smoother when some proper nutrition and positive inspiration.
*If you can't control it .. Let it go
*If it really makes you feel good (and it's not deadly or illegal)..do it, and who cares what other people opinions are.

I am sure to some of you whom have known me forever probably think I have drank the wacky kool-aid and lost my marbles. I still struggle with the negative lil demon floating in the sea of great things happening in my life trying to poke a hole in the life raft! But without struggle there wouldn't be perseverance.  I have found comfort in the power of prayer. Instead of saying Lord why me when I get knocked down, I have become to look at it as look at all the times I have fallen flat on my face and yet I am still here, I am still moving forward. Sometimes things fall apart so that we can learn to find better.

I had a recent  epiphany about my career. I breath weddings I cry every time I watch one of those goofy shows, I can see a swatch of color and get inspired on a whole event yet I have lost all passion or want for my job. I first though oh you just burned yourself out. You spend every weekend from March till October working your rear off and you needed this year off. Well it's been a year and my passion hasn't come back. Then I realized. In my bio I myself wrote "I had so many regrets about my own wedding I want to help others to not feel that way"- This is where the light bulb comes on.. I no longer feel the need to fill some void in my life. I didn't loose my passion I just filled that void with a fabulous blessed life. I don't need to act out dreams in other peoples realities because my own reality finally became something worth living in!   I LOVE helping people. I miss my sorority for that. Yet I found another way to accomplish that. I LOVE helping people get healthy and feel good about themselves. It's something I didn't feel about myself for a long time so I know what a downer it can be. With Visalus I get to do that. I work for a company that gives back 10 fold! It's not even about the money, I'm not gonna lie a paycheck every Monday doesn't hurt but when you hear people talk about life changing experiences it warms your heart to the core!

Enough about that! So onto Resolution#1 (because I have so many goals for the next year that one post wouldn't be enough!) Be positive at all cost, because even that bad things can open your heart to meaningful experiences. Find joy in every terrible-rotten-hateful thing someone says to you or about you and if you can't well.. PRAY for them or for you to find the strength to get past it and most of all LOVE because there isn't a single thing that someone can do that should make you stop loving them.

LOVE SHOULD BE GIVEN FREELY-RESPECT SHOULD BE EARNED STOP CONFUSING THE TWO!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Training with the champs to be beach ready in 90 days.

Bryan and I started our new 90 Day Challenge. I don't know as if I have a number in mind for inches or weight. I just really want some visible results. Which means.......Exercise! I know it's the devil, but it's the only way I am going to get to look the way I want to look. We are both still on the shape kit. Since we are wanting to shed some lbs still while toning up.

We both survived turkey day without weight gain! We also ate what we wanted so for those of you who ask if we have to eat bird food on this diet..HECK NO! I just made sure the whole time we were out of town that I got my butt up and went for at least a 1 mile walk.  Although 5 days at my moms with her cooking was going to be the brink of my downfall! Luckily once we were back home the diet went back to normal!

(OH HOW HARD IT WAS TO POST THIS PICTURE ON HERE EEK SCARY)
So New Challenge started on 11-29-2011. Bryan is hitting the weight bench or hotel weight room whenever possible and when it's not he has resistance bands in the hotel room.  I had this bright idea to try the Couch to 5k program. Although the weather hasn't been helping with this. So I have collected a few different programs through out the Internet to try to supplement when I can't go outside. I am WIDE OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS in this category. I have the Zumba dvd's it's just I've watched them so much I can't really get into it anymore.

Starting Measurements taken on 11-28-2011:
Hailey:
Weight: 130.4
Waist: 30 inches
Chest: 35 inches (how depressing is this lol)
Arms: 11.375 (11 3/8) inches
Thighs: 21 inches

(I don't have his permission to post his before photos cause he's a chicken!)
Bryan:
Weight:152.6
Waist: 31.75 inches
Chest: 40 inches (how I wish this was my chest lmao)
Hips:32.5 inches

I am inviting you to join in with me. If you are reading this I KNOW you have something about you that you should-could-would change if you only had the time-money-support to do it. I am telling Body By Vi meets your goal for all of the above. From the guy who lost 124 lbs in 90 days to the guy who puts on 23 lbs of lean muscle in 90 days. From the every day gym lover to the person who's body physically can't allow them to exercise. It is heart healthy, diabetic friendly, gluten free and the non-gmo soy doesn't screw with estrogen levels which is a major plus for me. The less estrogen I have the better! I will be your support team. I will help you get your product for free. All I ask is to give it a serious 90 days. Isn't 90 days worth the fight?

I am also now a distributor! Wahoo!! I love that the team I found is so dedicated to helping others. I know alot of networking business are out to help themselves climb up the ladder but not these people! So along with rocking my awesome Monokini that I haven't ever worn in public I have this bad boy set on my 2012 goal list!

90 Days Complete...

Before I jump right into the results of my challenge. I need to thank everyone who has given positive thoughts in messages or Facebook comments and such. It means so much to me to have a support system like you guys. The Body By Vi community is a force to be reckoned with, I can post a comment about struggling or being stuck and within the hour I have a dozen people rallying behind me to keep me going. God Bless all of you for the life changing work you do everyday. I only hope I can go on to be as inspiring to other's as you all have been to me.  To those of you thinking of joining the challenge. Here is my advice. Give it 90 days. Don't give up, keep up on your snacks especially at the beginning that way your adjusting to the amount of food your not snarfing down on a regular basis. Find support, ask your team if something isn't working right for you what you could do to change it.

Here they are the Honest Results of my

Total Weight Loss:17.2 lbs

My original goal set in July during my mommy makeover consult was 130 lbs and down 5 inches. My official BBVi goal was 125 lbs and 5 inches ( being as 125 is my desired post surgery weight would have been around after the mommy make-over). I'm hoping my next 90 days I can tone up the terror left behind that is my mid section and kiss the make-over goodbye!

As I head into my next 90 Day challenge I am a little scared of the Holidays but I will not let fear break me down. Our Next Goal is "Beach Ready in 90 Days" for once I want to be more excited to buy a swimsuit then to shop for cover ups! Also I would love to be able to enter into the "Team Challenge" category and have my whole team rock Kansas City in March. Why wait till New Year's to set that goal! Who's with me???

Day 60! 29 to go!

I'm starting to write this in my last leg of this Challenge. I am to the point where I truly believe with everything in my soul in this product. If you have ever had a health problem that made weight loss complicated for you, you know what it is like to be down and discouraged day after day.  I am going to briefly touch on that and these are my personal results  no where are these promised to anyone!

As far as my edometriosis. For those that don't know it's a complex female issue that affects reproductive and hormone issue in women who have it. I could go into the technical terms but I had a Dr. explain it to me in English that I could get ha ha. Imagine your Uterus as a 5 gallon bucket now once a month try filling it up with a pressure washer.. You get crap everywhere!! Along with that those cells don't know they didn't make it into the bucket so they still flare up and cause lots of fun as if they were in utero. (Hope that helps a little) It causes fertility issues in most women who have it and lots of pain in about 90% of women who have it although some extreme stage 4 cases don't have pain at all it's like the body adapts to it. So, this has been plaguing me for quite some time and some days makes it simple task painful. Diet control is a big issue, staying away from inflammatory foods is supposed to help but until recently I didn't ever notice a difference. Since starting Body By Vi I have noticed the normal bloating and bowel issues I have are calming down. Even times when the pain is still bad it is still more localized to the abdomen rather then the leg cramping and general all over soreness.Since starting this I have had ZERO migraines & I am a on the floor in a ball in the dark until I can sleep it off migraine person when my hormones are involved. I have been able to keep up on the cardio without alot of pain although I did attempt some Zumba and paid for it as usual.  The fatigue and sluggish ness is GONE! Not one day since I started have I spent the whole day curled up with my heating pad. In fact its packed up in the closet! This is something that has stayed plugged into the outlet next to my bed for at least 3 years. Sad but true!***I am not a Dr. so I can't say for a fact Body By Vi is what is doing this, However I will say I have tried almost every remedy Homeopathic and Traditional Medicine and haven't gotten great results. The closest I have gotten was for 18 months I took the Lupron Depot shot, which is menopause in a tube with a very large needle lol. It stopped my pain and everything but it came with some nasty side effects and after I stopped the shot the very next month BAM my symptoms came back. So it wasn't a long term solution. I have a new appreciation for people with Lupus or Fibromyalgia. It's hard to describe to people what it is like when you look perfectly fine on the outside but feel like your guts are being ripped out on the inside. It makes it just as much of a mental problem as a physical problem.

So moral here.(yeah that wasn't really brief but..) Finally having my diet under control is making a huge impact.  Even though we are eating one meal a day besides our shakes I notice that our entire shopping habits have been changed. We weren't giant junk eaters to begin with but we are trying to ditch the processed foods and stuff like.. don't eat any white at night, those carb cravings are only given into during a lunch break lol and NO fried AT ALL. Although I wouldn't mind some of my mommas fried chicken and mashed potatoes! I feel a cheat date coming on!! But I also know that as long as I am sticking to my routine and getting in some exercise at least 4 days a week that a cheat won't kill me.

I know I am coming to the last 30 days of my 90 day challenge. I am having serious doubts about meeting my actual set goal. I had a number in my head that I really wanted to be at then pushed another 5 lbs past that for my official goal. I guess just to see if I can do it. I blew my inches goal out of the water already so I already feel like I did it! Although I think my main goal was to finish it. No Matter What. Complete the 90 days no excuses. I now feel comfortable stepping up the exercise to meet my goals. I have already decided what my next goal will be set to.. I'll reveal it on my 90 day blogs post. Happy reading please continue to send me your positive feedback. I really like reading your questions and do my best to answer them correctly. After all the whole point of this is to give an informed statement to the product here.

My Middle leg of the challenge

Hello Faithful Readers!

Day 41 of my 90 day challenge. It seems a lot easier to stick to a routine now. I am still slowly chuggin away at my scale. I am down 10 lbs and 5 Inches! My original 90 day goal was 22 lbs and 5 inches, so I am half way there! 12 lbs to go in 50 days. Boy I hope this is possible! I really like the product. I have gotta a lot of grief from bloggers and or facebookers about Visalus and I know there are other products out there that are probably just as fantastic! But the point here is this is MY 90 DAY CHALLENGE! I did my research and this is what I felt would work best for me. So if you choose to leave a comment here keep that in mind! Your "Vi-shake sucks Shakeology rules" anonymous comments will not be published! Also some of the comments I received were very uneducated attempts at put downs!
 1. Visalus does not  give you one dollar amout and then charge you another. You pick your kit and there is your price. There are no hidden cancellation fees and such..
 2. The do have other products like Neuro and NutraCookie that if you want you can purchase, but  NO WHERE does it say you have to use these. In fact there are plenty of other snacks we have found that are healthy and work just fine. I haven't tried the Nutra cookie. I do have the Raz Neuro and I do like it. It's a good pick-me-up for the running ragged days!
3. You refer 3 people and their order is the same or more as yours..YOUR PRODUCT IS FREE. SO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT COST!
I have started my hubby on vi shakes too. I won't publish his results but I will say Dammit why is it so easy for a man to loose weight ha ha! He was down 2 jean sizes in a little over a week.

I will say having a shake buddy makes this run smoother! I happen to think a support system is a major part to any of this lifestyle change stuff. Somewhere in between the "Oh wow you need to loose some lbs" and the "please like you don't  need to loose weight" comments it's nice to have someone to say I support you in whatever it is your trying to do. It also has began to mean something to me to see other people in my life want to take note to their health. Blake Mallen issued a "What does body by vi mean to you" challenge and while I didn't make a video I did make some serious revelations not just about me but my whole family. I want to never loose another family member because health wasn't on their priority list until it was too late. I want to break the cycle, not just physically. I want the word family to mean more to my children than pictures on the wall. I want to look in the mirror and for once in my adult life be more than ok with what is reflecting back at me.

Right now at this moment in my life Visalus is a big factor in making that happen. So that's what it means to me. As I sign up new team members I am just as excited for them to see results as I am for Bryan and myself!

I am also climbing on the fence about the mommy makeover. 4 months ago it was hit your goal so you can have this surgery and now I'm at least considering the fact of 12 lbs and however many inches from now I might not feel the same way about it. I toss this back and forth on a daily basis!! I guess we will see how I feel then.

The First 30

Rather than boring you with a day by day blog I thought I would compile this challenge in 30 days at a time.

Before starting I will add.. I purchased a "Hamilton Beach" shake mixer $11.99 at my local walmart.
Day One:First I will add I picked a terrible time of month to start this (ladies you will understand..bloated-irritable-sweet tooth-cramps- and a migraine)
Shake 1 7:30am  I went with just the standard shake with milk so I could get the taste for it. It wasn't too terrible. I might also add I am not a breakfast person. I am usually just a coffee person. So I missed the morning snack due to first day of school chaos at my house!
Shake 2 I used water(which I think was less filling) and some frozen Blackberry's. And I had a string cheese for a snack.
By Dinner mother nature was kicking my butt and due to cramps and a migraine I have a Valium and a Loritab for dinner and went to bed.

A friend Suggested Almond milk. After some research I found the BLUE ALMOND brand even flavored was only 40 Calories!
Day Two: Woke up feeling great. I downloaded the Visalus Recipe Book which has been a lifesaver cause I found a coffee shake!
Shake 1 9:30am I used 8 oz almond milk (which i prefer over water) 2 scoop vi-shake and 1tsp instant coffee and 1.5 pk chocolate cardio care. ( the 1 tsp was a lil too much next time ill do half)
        Snack1 String cheeses
Shake 2 Reg shake with a pack of peach complexion care. Wasn't bad I am just not a huge peach fan.
        Snack2 almonds
Dinner: Alfredo Penne (small helping) and steamed veggies. I will say this was not the healthiest thing I could find but being as I hadn't eaten solid food since Wednesday at lunch time I figured it was OK to cheat just a little.

Day Three:Again woke up feeling pretty good. Do notice it's a little easier to get outta bed in the morning
Shake 1 9:45 Again my version of the Mocha Latte (8oz almond milk-4 ice cubes-1.5 tsp instant coffee-1.5 pk of cardio care and vi shake mix) The half of teaspoon was perfect I could drink this all day long!
Snack which was actually about lunch time since I slept in today was 2 cheese sticks
Shake 2 about 2:15 I almost didn't mix shake 2 today I just wasn't feeling hungry at all but talked myself into it. My flavor was just a repeat of breakfast's shake. I love it so much!
Snack 2 nada didn't feel the need for it. Took my kids to CherryBerry and didn't even have the urge to take a bite!
I had a later dinner than I wanted to but had family in town and time just got away from us. So we went to Smash burger! I know what your thinking.. not diet food huh Hailey. Yet this is where most of my dieting problems ALWAYS lye.. eating out. So I ordered a Wedge and didn't even eat it all before I was full! Go me!!

Day 4: Against better judgement I jumped my chunky butt on a scale this am! DOWN 3 LBS IN 4 DAYS whoo hoo doggy!! By the time I have figured out kinda what works for me and what doesn't! So I worked out and treated myself to some veggies and rice from panda express since I had no snacks today and just my two shakes!

Day 5:Bryan came home today.Which is a HUGE challenge in my dieting. because well he always wants to eat out. I did manage to do really good with my shakes one snack and a salad and half a wrap at buffalo wild wings. When really I wasn't even that hungry. My sweet tooth did strike later this evening so I had a spoon full of peanut butter.

Days 6: I switched it up a little today and did Breakfast and Dinner for shake options cause I had a lunch date with my hubby!

Day 7.. One week down, 4.5 Lbs down

To skip boring my readers to death I am just gonna hit major landmarks from this point on!
So day 8.. I cheated I had a friend in town and its kinda hard to show em around and not eat lol!I did have my breakfast shake.  So we had Mexican food for lunch. I did have ZERO chips and only about 1/2 of a tortilla. I had spaghetti and meatballs for supper which I only ate a few bites of noodles and the meatballs. Plus about 4 or 5 glasses of wine. What's a girl supposed to when her bestie is in town and they haven't got to see each other in 8 months! P.s. Im a HUGE wino! Giving this up has been harder than chocolate!
Sunday was back to business as usual!

Day 14.. Weight 143.0 Lbs Chest 36( sad face lol) Waist 36 :) Hips 37
Not too shabby considering I haven't been pushing exercise  like I should. I really despise working out although I did get in a mile on the elliptical last night!

Day 21. sigh.. Still 143.0 Lbs but Chest is 36..Waist 35 and Hips 36.5

Day 25 the scale finally went down! Hallelujah!!

Day 30 I am completely still in love with this challenge. I can only hope my next 60 has been like the first 30. To the starters, I am not gonna lie it does take a little adjusting and tweaking to see what works for you. If I have a shake at 7 am I usually have to have a snack by lunch. Yet if I have a 9ish shake I'm good to go.If I try to stretch it out too far I do notice I get a little headache. Nothing advil can't fix though. I also ( on the personal side lol) this isn't a stay close to the bathroom diet plan. If you ever tried 48hr Miracle diet you know exactly what I mean. I only wish I knew more people where I lived so I could sing this from the rooftops! So instead I'm singing from the web!

I also want to add for the speculaters aka haters.. THIS IS NOT A DIET PLAN. This is a healthy lifestyle choice. I just happen to be shedding the inches while getting healthy. This isn't something you go back to life as normal when you hit your goal. This is a choice to be a better me. I don't judge you on whatever you do to get to where you want to be so don't judge me unless you have tried Vislaus Science supplements and have an actual educated guess! Ignorance is not bliss!!

"DON'T COMPARE YOUR LIFE TO OTHER'S. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEIR JOURNEY IS ABOUT"

So in Honestys Sake- I really don't feel as terrible as I did when I posted this at the beginning. Here is Day 30s honest to goodness truth!
140 LBS Waist 34INCHES!! Chest 36 Hips 36.5

The 90 Day Challenge .. Start

If you know myself or my husband you know we rarely jump into anything we haven't extensively researched. So after much debate and a self esteem crashing trip to a plastic surgeon, I have enrolled in the Body by Vi Challenge through Visalus( www.haileyd.bodybyvi.com for more info). So I am gonna blog my way through my 90 days of challenge. With a goal set in mind of plunging into the rest of their opportunities if I believe in there products. Bryan has a family member who is involved and sounds like her and her husband rock the networking $$ aspect of this company. I am not much of a network marketer myself so I did some digging into this company and they are at the top of their game as far as their types of business go.

So against my better judgement.. I am going all out with the photos and weight specs here ( which I am sure I will regret later ugh) but that way at least you know this is an honest review/effort on my part. I will tell you I did the special K challenge.. lost the inch .. have kept it off but I grew really sick of eating cereal so I gave up.  I despise the way all those shakes you can get at walmart taste. They remind me of that chalky crap you have to drink before scopes EEK YUCK!! I am also a foody, I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat!I am not even gonna lie and say that a good Ole adderal or phentermine would do the trick but if you have been down this road you know it always comes back to bite you in the butt.. literally! Plus I have endometriosis so any of those medication that make you all hyped up contain a lot of caffeine which boost estrogen which leaves me in great pain at the end of the day. Not to mention they cause kidney stones!! Found that out the hard way too! My endometriosis is a large pain in the @** and my doctor has repeatidly told me "that fact that you can maintain a weight is a great thing Hailey" but that's just not good enough for me anymore. I wanna be healthier, I think I might be the only female left in my family not on blood pressure or hypertension medication. So I am seriously terrified of health issues to come.

So here is to me.. not even really loosing a bunch of weight to look like a super model ha ha but to being a healthier me. Someone that when your blown up on a 47' LCD screen at a doctors office you don't crash down into a full out mental breakdown!
Here it is.. Challenge start day
147.8LBS
38 Inches on chest-waist-and hips
(yes I am a perfect blob!)

AND I WILL SAY SHAKE NUMERO UNO!
TASTE AMAZING IT REALLY IS THE SHAKE MIX THAT TASTE LIKE CAKE MIX! CAN'T WAIT TO WAKE UP AND GO FOR IT!
